Right on the harbor edge – where seagulls circle and local fishing boats lie at anchor – we invite you to discover the culinary diversity of the sea – all prepared with care and passion for the highest quality.

Our logo, the porpoise, reflects our deep connection to the coast – and our respectful approach to the treasures of the sea. The small dolphin, as the porpoise is also called, lives in the Baltic Sea and with a bit of luck can even be seen off the coast of Heiligenhafen. It is the smallest of all whales, and its short snout makes it unmistakable.

BLUE OCEAN is more than a restaurant – it's a place with history. Our home: a listed building, once a rescue shed of the DGzRS. From here, brave rescuers set out in small boats to save lives.

At lunchtime, we offer down-to-earth, fresh cuisine. But as the sun slowly sets in the evening, BLUE OCEAN becomes a stage for delightful evenings. In an atmospheric setting, we serve beautifully presented plates with fresh fish, regional specialties, and handmade sushi. Followed by a lovingly prepared dessert – and the day ends with a smile.
